Experience:
• Psychiatrist and Medical Lecturer in Universiti Sains Malaysia since 1993.
• Areas of interest are liaison psychiatry and psycho-oncology and most researches dealt with health related quality of life.
• Collaborated with WHO QoL Group in quality of life and spirituality researches, also a consultant reviewer for translation of FACIT (Functional Assessment Chronic Illness Therapy) disease-specific questionnaires.
• She and her husband are cancer survivors. Her professional and personal health needs lead her further into mind-body-spiritual connections in sickness and health.
• Integrating her clinical knowledge and her own healing experiences with conventional and complementary medicines, she gave seminars to the public and health professionals, covering topics on psychiatry, mind-body medicine, sexuality and psycho-oncology.
